Data Analysis of Bias in Local Police Traffic Stops

This independent analysis showcases our ability to gather, segment, and interpret law enforcement data to uncover patterns of racial disparity. Drawing on five years of traffic stop data (2015–2019), we categorized twelve types of citations and cross-referenced them by race and gender. The results revealed a disproportionate number of stops involving Black individuals compared to white drivers. This work was formally presented to the City of Twinsburg and entered into public record, demonstrating how data analytics can support transparency and inform community policy discussions.
